Down on the Farm

The In-Laws don’t exactly have a pigs n chickens type farm, but there are plenty of sheep, and an orchard, and a pretty huge vegie patch, which is quite farm enough for us!

Yesterday evening, Little Miss’ Nanna took us (including new sister-in-law K) on a meander down to dig potatoes and carrots for dinner. Raeli watched with wide eyes as the potatoes were unearthed, and insisted on carrying them up to the house herself.

Dinner included these treasures, plus freshly-shelled peas with mint, and a lovely big dish of sausages. We all ate our fill of sausages, and bickered happily over who got seconds of vegetables. Little Miss ate every scrap of potato, peas and carrots on her plate! And plenty of sausage, too…
