First Impressions

by

When I was first dating my husband, I would spend hours creating elaborate meals. In fact, I once spent three days cooking for my in-laws. Yeah, three days. I actually ground my own pork for shui mei that I hand rolled.

And then I had kids. There’s no time for hand rolled shui mei anymore. My priorities are a little different.

While my schedule and my priorities have changed a little, I still love to cook. That’s why I’m excited to take over duties at Kids’ Dish.

Things are going to be a little different here at the blog. You should know that I’m not vegan. I’m not vegetarian (though I used to be - ultimately, I just couldn’t give up pulled pork forever). I have no interest in daikon. But that doesn’t have to mean boring. I’m not about trying to be SuperMom. I just want to have fun in the kitchen with my kids, and make sure that they manage to get something to eat each day. I hope you’ll stop by, check it out and let me know what you think.

About Kids Dish

If you flip through the pages of a number of kids’ magazines, you get the impression that kids’ meals should be Michelin affairs, complete with matching dishware and veggies cut to resemble the works of impressionist painters.

Let’s be real. Parents don’t have that kind of time. And kids have to eat. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Kids' dish focuses on healthy, practical meal solutions for kids… and occasionally, that might mean matching dishware.
