Food for thought… or stream of consciousness.

It’s Take Your Daughter to Work Day!

dscn4591.JPG

My first guest blogger is daughter and chef extraordinaire, Katie, age 4. She offers thoughts on the following food-related items (she would like it noted that she typed all of the headings herself):

macaroni

Eat it on a plate always. Use it with a fork. Or you can use chopsticks.

bread

Cut it in half.

breakfast

I always eat my breakfast. Sometimes, after breakfast, I play.

cake

When I get a friend and it’s my birthday, I eat a cake. When it’s my birthday, I blow out the candles.

There’s a lot of words I’m going to say. I know about bread. I know, know, know.

Okay.

I want macaroni or some cheese.

Okay. Last thing, refrigerator.

Hi, Katie. I like macaroni and cheese, too. Next time you make it, can I come over?

About Kids Dish

If you flip through the pages of a number of kids’ magazines, you get the impression that kids’ meals should be Michelin affairs, complete with matching dishware and veggies cut to resemble the works of impressionist painters.

Let’s be real. Parents don’t have that kind of time. And kids have to eat. The two are not mutually exclusive.

Kids' dish focuses on healthy, practical meal solutions for kids… and occasionally, that might mean matching dishware.
