About Kelly

Some of the best days that I spent as a kid were in the kitchen with my mother. Food brought our family together.
Now that I’m a mom myself, with three kids in tow, I hope to carry on those traditions with my children. I think it’s working… My four year old has already declared that she wants to be a “princess cooker doctor” when she grows up. And they’re eating what I make them so I must be doing something right.
My husband and I have three children (Katie, Amy and Charlie) and a dog (Lyle) all thrown together into a home in Philadelphia. My husband and I work together as attorneys at our own firm and have managed to stay married nonetheless.
I love to travel and dream of some day appearing on the Amazing Race. I like to dig in the dirt, and occasionally raise a decent flower or two in my garden. I also enjoy the occasional martini, but somehow listing drinking as a hobby while in your 30s just sounds sad.
In my spare time, I blog. A lot. It’s a sickness. You can check out my current blogs here:
Tiny Treasury - a 451 Press blog
Kids’ Dish - a 451 Press blog
Lawmummy - the blog that got it all started
Taxgirl - tax policy, tax news, tax info and it’s not as boring as you think!
Waiting Upon Fortune (But Never Sure of Dinner) - a blog about taxes, finance and family for Disney’s Family.com
I also write. My first novel is finished (hooray!) and I’m currently looking for an agent. Anyone? Bueller? I am in the throes of my second novel now. Both books are works of legal fiction with some humor and romance thrown in for good measure.
Did I mention that I drink a lot of coffee?
